In the press conference the organizer and the representative of Enterprise Competitiveness Institute and Janabiggan Foundation described the objective & prospects of the fair. They also demonstrate how various activities of the fair will keep contribution for the socio economy development of the country. Inaugural Ceremony of the Udvabon Mela held at DIU auditorium with the presence of self educated scientists, exhibitors, invited participants from various universities and guests of the session. Mr. Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, Honorable Minister,Ministry of Information, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh inaugurated the fair as chief guest. Presided over by Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, the inaugural ceremony was addressed by Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University, Prof. Dr. M. Zaakir M. Hossain, Executive Director, Enterprise Competitiveness Institute (ECI) and Mr. Ayub Hossain, Secretary General, Janabiggan Foundation.
In the inaugural ceremony the guests and organizers declared that Enterprise Competitiveness Institute will provide all sorts of support to the self educated inventors and rural scientists for marketing, value added services and ensure patent right of their projects and other relevant sectors.
After the grand inauguration of the fair, the guests visited the exhibition.

Closing Ceremony

After successfully completion of two days long fair and various activities, closing ceremony of the Udvabon Mela-2014 held at DIU auditorium with the presence of all exhibitors, students and invited guests. Mr. Zakir Hossain, Vice Chairman, Rangs Group was present as the chief guest while Prof. Dr. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University presided over. Self taught scientists Mr. Kenu Mistri was present as Special Guest.
In the closing ceremony, the guests provided crests to all exhibitors. 5 best possible innovation announced by the guests for further discussion with Bangladesh Venture Capital Company.
